Active schemes

Private sector leasing

Guaranteed rent / leasing
Guaranteed monthly rent (up to LHA level) plus £500 upfront per year of lease
Eligibility

Ealing Council leases the property from the landlord and manages it free of charge to house people in housing need, guaranteeing the monthly rent for the lease period. Rent is set up to the maximum LHA level for the property size and area. The landlord receives £500 upfront per year of lease, exemption from Ealing's private landlord licensing fee, and a free LLAS accreditation voucher worth £100. Contact landlords@ealing.gov.uk.

Direct lets incentive

Rent in advance / incentive
One-off incentive for a signed 1-2 year AST + up to £250 towards landlord insurance
Eligibility

The council shortlists up to three council-nominated households and the landlord chooses who to offer the tenancy to, signing a one or two year assured shorthold tenancy. The landlord keeps management and pays no commission. The council pays a one-off incentive for the signed AST, up to £250 towards landlord insurance, and a £100 LLAS accreditation voucher.
