Nottingham Private Rented Assistance Scheme

Deposit guarantee
Written bond or cash deposit provided at the start of the tenancy
Eligibility

NPRAS helps homeless Nottingham residents into good-quality private rented accommodation. The council provides a written bond or a cash deposit at the outset of the tenancy, vets tenants and gives ongoing tenancy support free of charge to landlords. Where the tenant receives Universal Credit, the rental element can be paid to the landlord at the start of the tenancy; an optional lettings management service is available at £35/month.

Notes

No dedicated empty-homes loan or grant scheme. Council operates Nottingham Private Rented Assistance Scheme (NPRAS, landlord incentive/deposit) which is not an empty-property refurbishment scheme.
