Shropshire previously ran an empty-home scheme that is currently suspended. Council tax premium and council contact details are still relevant for empty-property owners in the area.
Notes
Region corrected to England-MID. Shropshire historically funded Empty Properties to Homes Grants and dedicated Empty Homes Officers. UKSPF Property Improvements Grant (up to £10,000) for commercial properties closed October 2025. Medium Term Financial Strategy proposed saving £91,660 by ceasing the dedicated Empty Homes function by 31 March 2026.
