Eligibility

Owners of empty homes in West Berkshire. Two products: a flexible refurbishment loan for habitable use, or a low-cost loan tied to providing the property as affordable housing. Apply via the Healthy and Sustainable Homes service.

Council tax premium

A property is classed as "long-term empty" once it has been unoccupied and substantially unfurnished for a qualifying period. The premium is charged on top of the standard council tax bill.
