Eligibility

Owners of long-term empty properties in York. Interest-free loan with no repayments during the loan period, no early-repayment charges. Borrower selects a 2, 3, 4 or 5 year term. Administered by the Healthy and Sustainable Homes Service.

Council tax premium

A property is classed as "long-term empty" once it has been unoccupied and substantially unfurnished for a qualifying period. The premium is charged on top of the standard council tax bill.

Notes
